With the Kimberley wet season building, the timing is ideal for a presentation on climate change in Broome.
Weatherman David Wilson from Broome Meteorology will show residents how weather is forecasted and what climate change means Broome and the Kimberley coast.
The final Science on the Broome Coast presentation will be at Broome Public Library on Wednesday 3 December, from 6-7 pm presenting ‘Climate Change, Broome and the Kimberley Coast’.
The popular science series has been a big hit with the community, and with media outlets such as GWN news, ABC Kimberley, Radio Goolarri, The Sound Environment, A Question of Balance, Broome Advertiser, Broome WA News, Science Network WA and social media.
The Science on the Broome Coast series, which is run by Roebuck Bay Working Group and the Yawuru Land and Sea Unit, will be run again in 2015, with the program on Roebuck Bay Working Group’s Facebook page and website early next year. A big thank you to Inspiring Australia and Rangelands NRM for their sponsorship.
