The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Urban Landcare Group (KBULG) celebrated last month with wins in two categories of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KBCCI) Goldfields Business and Employee Awards.
The annual KBCCI Awards were presented on 30 August to recognise and reward excellence and to acknowledge organisations and employees that play a role in keeping the Goldfields sustainable.
The KBULG received awards for ‘Employers supporting employees with a disability’ and ‘Not For Profit Organisation of the Year’.
Kim Eckert, CEO of KBULG said congratulations to all the nominees and the winners in all the categories.
“Kalgoorlie-Boulder is such a wonderful community and Saturday night was a great example of our community spirit,” Ms Eckert said.
There were so many great businesses and community groups all together and KBULG was so proud to be a part of it.
Ms Eckert thanked all the staff of KBULG, and all Volunteers and GIFSA staff, Members and core sponsors – City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, KCGM, Northern Star Resources and Landcorp.

KBULG has been operating for over 40 years in the Goldfields and originally starting as the GDAC (Goldfields Dust Abatement Committee). It is the Goldfields premier Community Environmental Organisation with an aim to involve the community in all of its activities.
