Pilbara Corridors Biodiversity Scholarship
Rangelands NRM, through the Pilbara Corridors Project, wish to provide a Postgraduate Research ‘Top-up’ Scholarship to a postgraduate student at the University of Western Australia with an outstanding academic record who has gained another academic scholarship.
The Top-up program encourages the individual to undertake their postgraduate study in an area of relevance to the Pilbara Corridors Project. The scholarship may be taken in any area relevant to biodiversity and rangeland management in the Fortescue River catchment of the Pilbara. The Pilbara Program Manager is available to discuss potential projects.
Project Objectives:
- Provide greater understanding of inter-relationships that underpin ecosystem function in the Pilbara rangelands.
- Provide a theoretical framework for ecosystem function in the Pilbara.
- Add value to existing and planned monitoring site data that is collected as part of the Pilbara Corridors project or at existing benchmark sites established by the Department of Environment and Conservation.
