Rangeland NRM’s ‘Fixing The Zippers’ Program showcased on ABC Radio’s Northern WA Rural Report

Rangelands NRM  RALF (Regional Agriculture Landcare Facilitator) Sarah Jeffery was recently interviewed by Michelle Stanley from ABC Pilbara on the Northern WA Rural Report. Sarah was talking about our new ‘Fixing the Zippers’ program which is currently open for Expressions of Interest.

Hear the interview here:

Rangelands NRM successfully obtained a National Landcare Program Smart Farms Small Grant for its proposed ‘Fixing the Zippers’ program, which will help pastoralists across the Rangelands use hay and livestock for a low cost, sustainable remediation solution for eroded gullies.

Smart Farms Small Grants is part of the second phase of the Australian Government’s $1.1 billion National Landcare program, and will help farmers and regional communities implement new projects and technologies that improve sustainability and adopt best practice land management.

We are currently seeking interested pastoralists to participate in the program, which is open until Monday 13 July 2020 (Expressions of interest ). For more information contact Sarahj@rangelandswa.com.au.
